Synopsis

That Dog! by Gillian Shields

From the fabulous duo behind Elephantantrum comes another hilarious picture book about a crazy pup who knows that if you believe in yourself, you can do anything! The mean miserable Jones family never take any notice of their dog, even though he is just bursting to be loved. That Dog doesn't want to be ignored by his owners - he wants to be a firefighter or a TV presenter or a top chef! He reaches for the stars and grabs them with both hands.

About the Author

Gillian Shields

Gillian Shields was born and brought up in Yorkshire. As she grew up, she had two passions; books and theatre. Gillian’s love of books led her to read English at St Catharine's College, Cambridge. After university she studied acting in London, and then worked in a drama school for several years, becoming Vice-Principal.

Having children gave Gillian an excuse to carry on reading children’s books, as well as motivation to write them. She has a young son and a grown-up daughter, and is married to Brian, who works for the International Herald Tribune.
