About the Author

Gavin Hannah was educated at the University of Birmingham, St. John's College, Cambridge and Kellogg College, Oxford. In 1988, he was elected a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries. He has taught in independent senior schools, examined History at A Level and trained as an ISI Inspector. He was Head of History at Summer Fields, Oxford.
