Synopsis

Doctor Foster Went to Gloucester by Russell Punter

This classic nursery rhyme is retold in a picture book version which sees Doctor Foster not only travelling to Gloucester, but also Oxford, Gosport, Stockton and Bognor, encountering not just rain but a range of other extreme weather conditions. Illustrated by David Semple, whose characterful artwork suits the doctor's dramatic journey perfectly.

About the Author

Russell Punter

Russell’s earliest ambition was to become an artist, well third earliest actually, after dating Marie Osmond and becoming the first 9 year old to play the part of Doctor Who.

He joined Usborne Publishing as a designer in 1987 but since discovering his literary side in 2003, he has written over twenty books for the company.

He loves writing for children and his biggest fan is his niece, although he’s not letting the fact that she’s not yet old enough to read bother him.
