Angela's Airplane by Robert Munsch

When Angela's father takes her to the airport, a terrible thing happens: Angela's father gets lost. She looks underneath aeroplanes, all around aeroplanes and finally decides to look inside an empty aeroplane...As she plays with the buttons and levers, another terrible thing happens - the doors close. She presses more buttons and the engines start up. So she pushes all the buttons at once and the plane takes off...Oh no! Munsch tells a wonderfully whimsical story of a five-year-old girl whose curiosity coaxes her into accidentally flying off with an airplane. Angela's personality and spirit are captured perfectly in Martchenko's depiction of her.

About the Author

Robert Munsch is Canada's favourite storyteller and a renowned children's writer, who travels all over North America visiting schools and children's daycare groups telling his tales. His speciality is making them up live in front of his young audience! Michael Martchenko was born in Carcassone, France and is an award-winning children's illustrator and graphic artist.
