Synopsis

Kick the Cowboy by Joe Gribnau

A grumpy cowboy learns a lesson on kindness from an unexpected teacher. His handlebar mustache spans the Rio Grande, his sneer scares rattlesnakes, and he can rope a dozen longhorns in one swift loop, but Kick the cowboy is missing something - kindness. Folks are afraid to talk to the cowboy, let alone tell him that his horse is not real; it is only a stick horse. But not everyone is too scared to stand up to Kick. When little Belle's puppy disappears, she searches everywhere for him, and she will ask anyone for help - even Kick. But can Belle turn his scowl into a smile?
