This is a detailed biography of Miami Dolphins Hall of Fame quarterback.Since his rookie season in the National Football League, Dan Marino was one of the league's best quarterbacks. Known for his strong arm and quick release, in 1984 Marino became the first NFL quarterback to pass for more than 5,000 yards in a season. During his 17-year career, Marino led the Dolphins to one Super Bowl appearance, a 38-16 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, and was named to nine Pro Bowls. He holds virtually all of the NFL's career passing records, including yards, touchdown passes, and most games with 400 or more yards passing. Marino has used his sports fame to benefit several philanthropic ventures, including The Dan Marino Foundation, which supports children's charities, and The Dan Marino Center at Miami Children's Hospital, which offers health care to children with chronic medical needs.This new biography explores the life and career of this famous quarterback and features full-color photographs, engaging sidebars, informative narratives, and much more to attract avid football fans.
