Henry Edgewood wakes up one morning with an irresistible urge to make pancakes. He does, and from that moment on, his life is not the same. Henry loves making pancakes--any time, anywhere, in any number, for anyone. He gets so good at it that word gets around and eventually the formidable Arthur J. Jinker of Jinker Enterprises arrives on the scene to cash in on the boy's talents. Before long, Henry is America's Pancake King, a star overnight, and knows fame, fortune and glamour. But one day it all becomes too much for him and Henry has to make a decision with affects Henry, his dog Ezra, Henry's family, and Mr. Jinker in a most hilarious way.

About the Author

Phyllis La Farge has written several books for children, including Kate and the Wild Kittens and Jane's Silver Chair. Seymour Chwast, twice named by the New York Times among the best illustrators of the year and one of the founders of the celebrated Push Pin Studios, is well know for his posters, typographic designs, and animated commercials.
