Synopsis

It's True! Hauntings Happen and Ghosts Get Grumpy by Meredith Costain

Pssst! It's true! This is the best book on the supernatural you'll ever read! The full bottle on premonitions and poltergeists, psychic detectives and the Bermuda Triangle, and including instructions for holding your own fork-bending party. What would you do if furniture threw itself downstairs and fires broke out in the cupboards? Or if you saw a festering green hand appear behind you in a mirror? In this engrossing book about the supernatural, Meredith Costain tells some spine-chilling stories and examines the evidence on teleportation, UFOs, psychic detectives, premonitions about the sinking of the Titanic, Christopher Columbus's experience inside the Bermuda Triangle, and many other mysteries of mind, time and space.

About the Author

Meredith Costain rocked through the 1980s playing piano and synth in blues and cover bands in grungy inner-city Melbourne pubs. Though music is still a vital part of her life, she has been a prose writer since the 1990s. As well as writing her own books, Meredith has reviewed kids' books, edited a kids' magazine and taught in a professional writing course. Illustrator Craig Smith has illustrated over 300 books in a 30-year career. He was once a rust scraper on the Sydney Harbour Bridge but is now one of Australia's most popular illustrators with a style that is energetic, individual, carefully observed and full of life and humour. His witty, humorous artwork is enormously popular with children combining a wonderful sense of the absurd with a fine eye for detail.
