Reading Stars Orange Book Band Pack by

This pack contains six books in the orange book band, the lowest book band level. The book's were levelled by reading specialist Shirley Bickler, co-author of the Book Band scheme. Each level contains six titles which are perfect for progressing readers. The texts have a clear narrative, the language is natural, the topics interesting and each book is ilustrated with some fantastic graphics from key children's illustrators. These books are perfect for guided reading in school or for children learning to read at home. Orange Book Band level books contain: 250 - 500 words 16 pages Fiction and non-fiction titles More literary language is used Complex sentence structures Increasing range of story types More space allowed for text than pictures Non-fiction titles have contents page Other text formats such as shopping lists or newspapers
