Synopsis

Goal Shoot by Frances Mackay

Ben and his friend Matt are so happy that there's going to be a school football team. Mr. Jones, their teacher, says they need to raise money for a team kit. Will Ben and Matt be able to come up with a good enough idea? Goal Shoot is the second title in the On the Ball Series, which follows Ben and the experiences he has once he achieves his dream of joining the school football team. Each of the six fast-paced stories are accompanied by contemporary black and white illustrations throughout to help engage the reader. The series is designed for children ages 7-9 years.

Frances Mackay is a freelance educational writer and editor, with wide experience in writing and developing both fiction, textbooks and literacy resources. She has over 20 years teaching experience in both Australia and the UK. Frances is also owner of Razorcat Tours - chauffeured trike rides and tours.
