Ha Ha Hyena by

Hyena learns that laughing at everybody is not a good way to behave. Ha Ha Hyena is a book-banded reading book for developing readers, carefully levelled at Turquoise Book Band. Beautifully illustrated throughout, this 738-word fiction story features a longer, more demanding text with an extended vocabulary. It is suitable for ages 6 - 7. Ha Ha Hyena is part of Ransom Reading Stars, a structured programme for children learning to read. The series has fifteen levels: four phonics levels and eleven book band levels (Pink through to Lime).

About the Author

After studying English at Keble College in Oxford, Alan Durant worked as a publicist and copywriter before becoming an award-winning full-time author. Alan is National Reading Campaign Reading Champion and a frequent visitor to schools, libraries and festivals around the UK and abroad, where he gives talks and runs writing workshops.
