During a two month strike they visit new towns and cities, see a better life at a chocolate factory, use a telephone for the first time and go to the theatre. Martha's Nan becomes a celebrity and gets thrown into jail! Based on true events that took place in the Black Country during 1910, Martha's diary is an uplifting and inspirational story about the fight against inequality.
