Synopsis

Biography: Leonardo da Vinci by John Malam

Read the inspiring story of Leonardo Da Vinci's life, from his traditional Italian upbringing to his adult life as one of the most influential painters of all time. Raised in a remote Italian village with no formal education, Leonardo went on become famous for his portraits paintings and mechanical designs. Plans for helicopters, tanks, and waterwheels created several hundred years ahead of their time confirm da Vinci to be a revolutionary thinker, scientist, and experimental engineer. From the mysterious smile of the Mona Lisa to sketches of flying machines, Leonardo's works have stood the test of time.
