Fairy! by Meg Clibbon

Reviews

Imagining you are a fairy is easy with this colourful and witty children's book. The beautiful, rich and very detailed illustrations are accompanied by an irreverent, funny and informative text. The book covers the basics of what fairies are and what they look like as well as instructions on how to become one, and there is an educational element with potted histories of famous fairies plus examples of typical language. It ends with a Things to Do section which includes instructions on how to bake fairy bars. This book is sure to fire the imagination of children and because it is broken down into several sections it can be revisited many times. Adults will enjoy reading it aloud to younger children while older children will be transported to an imaginary world of their own. The illustrations are sumptuous and appealing and make this book, along with its companion Imagine You're a Pirate, stand out from many others. If you've ever wanted to know what the rules of the Fairy Union are then this is for you. (Kirkus UK)
