Synopsis

Daddy Island by Philip Wells

This picture book celebrates a small boy's relationship with his father, whom he regards as a secure island on which he can be anything he wants to be - as bright as a star, as fierce as a bear, or as still as a rock.

He has published two collections of adult poetry. Daddy Island is his first children's book and has proved to be extremely popular. Niki Daly has been illustrating and writing children's books for over twenty years.
