Hairy Mole the Pirate by Chris Owen

Hairy Mole the Pirate by Chris Owen

Hairy Mole and his noble pirate crew have entered a team in the much anticipated Pirate Olympics. Can the Littleton pirates beat the other three pirate teams to win gold? They're up against The (not at all wimpy) Daisy Headhunters, the (rough and tough) Pirate Pensioners and the (fearsome) Whiskers Gang. Of course the Pirate Olympic events all need special skills. There's Walking the Plank, Jumping the Nearly Dead Man's Chest (Mr Bogey's special event) and the One Hundred Metre Pirate Bucket Boot race. Will our clever, smelly pirates paarp their way to victory? The Hairy Mole Series is published by Ransom Publishing, specialists in books for reluctant and struggling readers. The stories are for newly independent readers, all featuring Hairy Mole and his pirate crew. The playful layouts offer a reduced amount of text on each page - perfect also for reluctant readers. The series is aimed at children aged 7 - 10 with a reading age of 7 - 8.
