Synopsis

Tuck Your Vest In by Daniel Morden

A humorous picture book looking at the trials, tribulations and triumphs of a morning in nursery. Bold, colourful, humorous illustrations throughout bring the characters to life. An English version of Nawr 'te, Blant. -- Welsh Books Council

Reviews

The entertaining lark in this picture book is the fact that each sentence rhymes: Tuck your vest in, Iestyn, Oh my gosh, Josh! Blow your nose, Rose. A day at school or kindergarten (it isnt clear which but is useful for both) is full of activity and fun. Iestyn has a super time with his friends, and there is just enough rude vigour for kids of four to six to have fits of giggles over Chanelle and her smell. The in-your-face brightness of Carpenters illustrations and their interesting perspectives will appeal tremendously too. The expressions on her round-faced children are a treat, and there is plenty of detail to enjoy. The combination of Morden and Carpenter is to be mightily encouraged.Elizabeth SchlentherIt is possible to use this review for promotional purposes, but the following acknowledgment should be included: A review from www.gwales.com, with the permission of the Welsh Books Council.Gellir defnyddior adolygiad hwn at bwrpas hybu, ond gofynnir i chi gynnwys y gydnabyddiaeth ganlynol: Adolygiad oddi ar www.gwales.com, trwy ganiatd Cyngor Llyfrau Cymru -- Welsh Books Council
