About the Author

Allan Manham trained in the Fine Art Department of the Johannesburg School of Art and then at Central School of Art in London, working mostly in the Illustration Department. He worked as a freelance illustrator for twenty five years, before setting up his own illustration agency, The Artworks, specialising in nurturing new talent. Now retired, Allan's passion is pottery, which he creates in his studio in London. Penny Dann is a well-known and highly talented children's illustrator, originally represented and mentored by Allan at The Artworks. Her Secret Fairy range has sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide. She lives in Brighton.
