This is a comprehensive and beautifully illustrated four book copymaster series. It is written to encourage pupils to gain knowledge about ancient societies whilst developing literacy skills. It includes detailed teachers notes on how to use the books and a glossary to help pupils understand the terms used in ancient times. Each book has 12 chapters, each covering a different aspect of the ancient society. Each chapter contains: comprehensive teachers notes including activity objectives, background information, curriculum links and answers; fictional text based on historical facts, covering a range of literary genres; comprehension, cloze and word study copymasters; and cross curricular activities. It includes digital version on accompanying CD.
