About the Author

Tanya Robyn Batt is one of the world's few professional fairies. She also adds a pinch of pixie dust to her role as a freelance arts educator, using her huge collection of clothes and costumes and her passion for dressing up to educate and entertain. Batt has also written The Faerie's Gift (9781841488059) and A Child's Book of Faeries (9781841489537). Nicoletta Ceccoli was born and still lives in The Republic of San Marino with her two pet turtle doves. Featured several times at the Bologna Children's Book Festival, she has twice won the prestigious Andersen prize for the best Italian children's book illustrator in 2001 and 2006. She has also illustrated the popular Barefoot titles An Island in the Sun (9781841481944), The Faerie's Gift (9781841488059), Little Red Riding Hood (9781901223262), and The Barefoot Book of Fairy Tales (9781841487977). Miranda Richardson has many film and television credits to her name, including 'The Hours'; 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'; 'Sleepy Hollow'; 'Empire of the Sun' and 'The Phantom of the Opera'. Miranda has won two Golden Globe awards for her roles in 'Enchanted April' and 'Fatherland'.
