Her brightly colored illustrations and quirky style are world-renowned and have graced the pages of several other Barefoot books including The Story Tree (9781905236121), Babushka (9781841484112), The Barefoot Book of Monsters! (9781841480688), and My Daddy is a Pretzel (9781905236824). Sophie lives in Florence, Italy with her cat. Fred Penner has been entertaining children and adults alike for more than twenty years. A native of Manitoba, Canada, Penner has worn many hats -- from folk-rock singer, television host and home video star to children's book author, UNICEF Canada spokesman, husband and father of four.
