About the Author

Phillis Gershator has written more than twenty-five books for children. She has worked as a children's librarian and enjoys cooking, gardening and especially reading. Phillis lives in the US Virgin Islands with her husband and frequent co-author, David. This is her third book in the series following Who's in the Garden? and Who's in the Forest? Phillis has also written Listen, Listen for Barefoot Books. about the artist: Jill McDonald finds inspiration in patterns and nature. She has worked as an illustrator and textile designer since graduating from Rhode Island School of Design in 1998. Jill creates her images using textured and painted papers which she then assembles digitally. As well as her artwork for this series, she has also worked with Barefoot Books to create Over in the Meadow. She lives in Missouri, USA with her husband and young son.
