Each title in the Planet Animal series focuses on a unique habitat around the world. Under the Sea introduces readers to the weird and wonderful wildlife in the watery depths of the Earth's oceans. Each spread targets a key creature living in one of these environments from the awesome octopus or predatory sharks to the colourful coral reefs that teem with life. Although doing their best to survive, many of the animals featured are endangered.Through gentle, engaging information and colourful photos, children can explore the magic of these creatures, and discover why we need to safeguard their habitat and what people are doing to help the animals survive.

About the Author

Anita Ganeri

Anita Ganeri was born in Calcutta, India, but attended both primary and secondary school here in England. She lives in the north of England with her husband, children,
a cat and three dogs. She is a prolific author of non-fiction for children and has had a staggering 100+ books published. She has been made a Fellow of The Royal
Geographical Society where she carries out a great deal of research, looking for weird and wonderful things to write about in her Horrible Geography books.

Mike Phillips is an illustrator for children. He was born in London, England and now lives in North Devon with his family.
