Melvin Might? by Jon Scieszka

Cement Mixer Melvin worries - all the time! So when the other trucks find a great new way of getting across an unfinished bridge by roaring towards it, soaring through the air and splashing down the other side, Melvin isn't sure it's such a good idea. But when Rescue Rita gets into trouble and needs to be rescued, only Melvin can save her. Can Melvin get over his worries and roar, soar and splash to save the day?

He is the author of some of the best known and funniest books written for children and is the creator of the Trucktown series. Jon is a former school teacher and an avid promoter of literacy. Jon lives with his family in New York.
