Synopsis

One Winter's Day by M. Christina Butler

When Little Hedgehog's nest is blown away in a terrible storm, he wraps up warmly and sets off for Badger's house. On his way Hedgehog meets lots of animals shivering in the wind and snow. One by one, he gives them his cosy mittens, hat and scarf. But will Little Hedgehog make it through the storm to safety? The Little Tiger Press picture book and CD sets are a great aid to improving reading skills and are perfect for bedtime, for journeys or for listening together. Each picture book is accompanied by a CD featuring a fantastic telling of the story, complete with music and sound effects.

Reviews

The longer text in One Winter's Day makes it ideal to read to older children but it is also simple enough for beginner readers to read. This would be a great story to include in a classroom theme about seasons. It could also be used to stimulate discussions on kindness and giving as Little Hedgehog's friends repay his kindness by building him a new nest. * - Story Snug *
