Fred wants to hatch an egg. So he sets off to find an egg of his very own. And it isn't long before he finds a teeny weeny brown egg that needs a little bear just like Fred to care for it. But bears don't have eggs, do they? This bear does! says Fred proudly. But does he really...? Fred the little bear learns all about nurturing in this humorous story.

About the Author

Julia Rawlinson

Julia Rawlinson was born and grew up in London. She studied Geography at Southampton University, where she met her husband, Neil. She worked in a bank for a few years, and then decided to write children's stories. Julia is the author of several titles for Gullane Children's Books, including Ferdie and the Falling Leaves and the forthcoming title Ferdie's Christmas (September 2010). She lives in Kenilworth with her husband and two boys, Ben and Tom.
