I Know a Game 60+ Instant Action Games for 3-7 Year Olds by Sarah Underwood

I Know a Game includes more than 60 simple games to play with young children aged 3-7 years. Aimed at early years professionals, out-of-school clubs, teachers and anyone supervising young children, the games can be played inside or outside and they are simple to set up. Most require no resources at all; others need chalk, a whistle, a line on the ground, hoops or beanbags. The games are exciting and fun; they can be used with groups of up to 30 children and take about 10-15 mins to play. There are suggested adaptations for simplifying the games and increasing the challenges. Themes of the games include: traditional tales; animals; around the world; dinosaurs; food; seaside; special times of the year; people who help us; road safety; food and others.

About the Author

Sarah Underwood is an experienced teacher from Foundation Stage to Key Stages 1 and 2. She has worked with Devon's Healthy Schools Advisory Team and has supported many schools in developing a healthy learning environment. She is a great believer in the potential of games to help the development of children's personal and social skills.
