Synopsis

Snakes by Penny Clarke

With informative captions, a glossary and an index, Snakes is full of facts written in an accessible question-and-answer format. The x-ray style format of some of the pages enables readers to see how the internal structure of snakes corresponds to their external appearance, and how a snake's skeleton and muscles work. This book also describes processes of nutrition, growth and movement in snakes and indicates links between animals and their environments.
