Synopsis

Dinosaurs by John Cooper

An introduction to the facts about dinosaurs, including a look at some possible reasons for their extinction. The x-ray style format of some of the pages enables readers to see how scientists believe the internal skeletal system of dinosaurs corresponded to their external appearance. The processes of nutrition, growth and movement in dinosaurs is discussed, and links between the animals and their habitats are indicated. The discussion surrounding why dinosaurs died out should encourage pupils to consider the consequences to life which occur when the environment changes.
