Bunter Does His Best by Frank Richards

Synopsis

Bunter Does His Best by Frank Richards

Billy Bunter, the nation's best-loved roly-poly anti-hero, makes a welcome re-appearance. This time, he's on a 3CD set, with over three hours of entertainment. Bunter, the creation of the comic writer Frank Richards, is a schoolboy who despite his often silly, idiotic and clueless behaviour, always seems to be the champion of the hour. In this story, he is unwillingly drafted in to play football for the Remove team, which leads to the inevitable resignation of many of the existing members of the team in protest at Bunter's apparent uselessness. With characters including Smithy the Bounder, sneaky old Skinner and good old Bob Cherry, this tale, brought to a chaotic and touching form of life by Martin Jarvis' enigmatic reading, will be a sure-fire and highly amusing hit with all the family.
