Synopsis

Classical Greek for Beginners by Kristian Waite

Classical Greek for Beginners is the ideal resource for pupils taking Level 1 of the Classical Greek Common Entrance examination. It contains all the required grammar and vocabulary for this Level, as well as extensive language notes and practice. No previous knowledge of Greek is assumed or required. Grammar and vocabulary are introduced and explained in a clear and logical manner over the course of fifteen chapters. There are also many practice questions, including unseen translations and a sample Common Entrance Level 1 paper. This textbook will lend itself particularly well to teachers running a one-year Common Entrance course on a limited timetable, and is also appropriate for regular extra-curricular classes.
