Rebombori De Creps by Anita Pouroulis

Rebombori De Creps by Anita Pouroulis

You might say pancakes are Polly's favourite treat. Or you might say she's a little obsessed. Either way when mum's too busy to rustle up her favourite snack Polly decides to take the initiative. Though she ends up wishing that she hadn't. A charming tale for adventure-hungry kids everywhere!

'Anita Pouroulis has woven a seamless story in rhyme. The narrative is both engaging and well paced. This coupled with the beautiful illustrations by Tom Bonson will I am sure delight children and parents alike'. Gez Walsh, Poet and Presenter (Radio Phoenix FM) 'If you don't have a little girl of your own, Anita's books will make you want to go out and find someone else's to read them with. These stories tap into the real lives and real concerns of little girls with humour, empathy and a love of delight and playfulness. I would read them with kids at bedtime, I would give them as gifts, I would use them to facilitate language learning, and I would bring them out repeatedly at story-time. They are absolutely wonderful, and in parts I laughed out loud'. Kirsten Miller, Children's author/illustrator & reviewer, South African Sunday Times'

About the Author

Anita Pouroulis

Anita Pouroulis was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1969. She grew up there, the eldest of three siblings.

Anita worked as a primary school teacher for many years, both in South Africa and in the U.K. While teaching, she developed a passion for children’s books and read every single book in each and every school library! She also studied part time, completing an Honours Degree in Psychology. She then moved out of teaching for a while, landing what she calls her ‘best job ever’, writing and copy-editing for a teenage girls’ magazine based in Johannesburg.

“My daughter is an incredible source of inspiration for my stories,” she says, “As well as the memories of all my ‘other’ children I taught so many years ago!”
