Synopsis

Lifestyle Choices (upper Primary) Activities to Combat Obesity and Promote Healthy Living by

This is an excellent photocopiable, three-book series to encourage healthily lifestyle choices. The series aims to increase pupils awareness of healthily lifestyles and thus develop habits that will stay with pupils into adulthood. Pupils are given opportunities to consider what it means to be healthily; physically, socially, mentally and emotionally; and to become responsible for their own well-being. Each book has four sections, covering healthy lifestyle, healthy diet, exercise and self-management. It includes worksheets that develop and reinforce the understanding of lifestyle concepts through literacy-based activities and include background information, activities to complete and a lifestyle challenge. It offers teachers notes that accompany each worksheet, providing objective, background information, activity instructions, suggestions for additional activities and answers. It includes curriculum links, glossary of terms, assessment proforma and a variety of pupil proformas.
