Synopsis

My Mum's Got Cancer by Dr. Lucy Blunt

One quarter of the people diagnosed with cancer each year have children under 18 years. Upon diagnosis these parents always ask what will I tell my children?. This book is the essential resource for parents, the family, the child, the teacher and the school community to help normalize the treatment of cancer. It talks directly to the child using open and charming illustrations, which take away the fear and secrecy of cancer treatment.

About the Author

Dr Lucy Blunt is a Clinical Psychologist. She is also a mother and a breast cancer survivor - it is her eldest daughter Eloise who provided the candid and often humorous illustrations. (She is also the psychologist on Australia's Top Model and counsels the girls as they get booted off!)
