Play Shapes byBegin Smart[trademark] is a new developmental read-and-play programme for babies & toddlers. This book is suitable for babies aged eighteen months to two years. It is a peak-a-boo board book with appealing animal characters, flaps & touch-and-feel panels. Each book in the series includes a list of skills aided by the book & the different abilities at each age level. The big leap is made: babies follow verbal directions and begin to speak, as well as having more ability to concentrate. These books introduce concepts like 'one' and 'two,' building on babies' early understanding of quantity. Books also help babies recognise shapes like circles, squares and triangles that make up everyday objects.Peek-a-boo isn't a baby's favourite game just by chance - as babies get older they start to understand that even when something isn't in their sight it still exists. This charming book, with its appealing animal characters, flaps and touch and feel elements (like cat's fur and lamb's wool) will help little ones develop object permanence.
