Synopsis

Splish-splash by

Begin Smart[trademark] is a new developmental read-and-play programme for babies & toddlers. This book is suitable for babies aged twelve to eighteen months. Rhymed text captures the bath & bedtime ritual. Each book in the series includes a list of skills aided by the book & the different abilities at each age level. These books further stimulate language development, as well as concepts such as 'all gone' and 'more.' Skills enhanced at this stage include the capacity to predict, object permanence and one-to-one correspondence. More advanced lift-the-flap books for this group allow babies to demonstrate what they can accomplish and the text and pictures encourage them to perform different actions.'Wiggle, wiggle, go your toes. Off, off, come your clothes.' That can only mean one thing-baby's ready to splish-splash in the bath! The rhymed text captures an adorable teddy bear as he goes through the entire bath and bedtime ritual: getting soaped, washed, rinsed, towelled dry and tucked in to bed.
