Sensory Like You features illustrated versions of Rachel and Kelly acting as guides for their young readers andserving as examples as they learn about their own SPD, undergo occupational therapy, cope with school,navigate friendships, and celebrate their own differences. In fact, the overarching focus of the book will be onacceptance as well as companionship. Through their older, trustworthy sensory guides, children will bereminded that it's okay to have SPD and they're not alone in how they perceive the sensory world.

About the Author

Rachel S. Schneider, M.A., MHC, is the author of Making Sense: A Guide to Sensory Issues, which waspublished by Sensory World in February 2016. As a writer, mental health counselor, delayed-diagnosis SPDadult, and pillar of the adult SPD community, Rachel writes the popular sensory blog - Coming to My Senses,and authored the hit articles The Neurotypicals' Guide to Adults with Sensory Processing Disorder and What Everyone Should Know About Sensory Processing Disorder. Rachel lives in New York City, USA with herhusband and handler, Josh. Kelly Dillon is the writer and illustrator of the blog Eating Off Plastic, where she chronicles her life with SensoryProcessing Disorder.
