Synopsis

The Violet's Magical Journey A Story of Adoption by Aiyana Sequana

Adoptive parents will be drawn and enjoy this magical journey through the adoption process.Adopted children will be delighted to have the story told from their own perspective. Teachers and counsellors for adoptive children may find this a refreshing way to approach the subject, one that empowers the child.Violet is a fairy who lives in a magical land complete with both a wizard and wood nymphs. In her travels, she comes across human children. She is so intrigued by them that she decides she wants to become one.The wizard tells her that, in order to become a human child, she will need both birth parents and adoptive parents. She then undertakes the journey to the land of humankind. As a child, when she is about six, she suddenly remembers that she had once been a fairy.Despite once being a fairy, Violet is happy she made the choice to become human.

About the Author

Aiyana Sequana is a California native who obtained her degree in Rhetoric and has always been fascinated by the power of the written word. More recently, she has become a student of Compassionate Communication, and learning how a shift in the way we think about things can lead to better human connection. Since having become an adoptive mother, Aiyana is particularly sensitive to the dynamics surrounding adoption. Out of this came VIOLET, which was originally a puppet show that Aiyana scripted for her daughters fifth birthday. Recently, her daughter turned 21; the puppet show has now resurfaced and evolved into a book.
