Evil rakshasa Kalanemi is back on Earth, this time as Kansa, the tyrant king of Mathura. To vanquish him and his horde of evil monsters, Lord Vishnu takes birth on earth in his eighth avatar ? Krishna, the defender of dharma. Since his birth, Krishna valiantly fights evil in the form of monsters, showing courage and valour. But as he grows up and becomes a councillor of the race of Yadavas, he observes that the real struggle in this age is not with magical monsters but with evil kings and warriors. Accompany this wise and courageous hero on his journey on Earth as he conquers evil to put mankind back on the path of righteousness.

About the Author

Shweta Taneja heard her first mythology story the traditional way -- orally. Her grandmother and mother would retell all stories of Mahabharata and Ramayana, complete with dramatic hand movements and expression. Then she saw TV serials like BR Chopra's Mahabharata and Amar Chitra Katha comic books and was hooked to the world of mythology and fantastical creatures. Her favourite pass time became scaring her cousins with stories of ghosts and monsters. In the rush of her working career as a journalist, creative instincts got limited to her head and personal diary. For seven years she ran after people looking for stories. Then one day, after she had completed her Masters in English, she decided to create stories instead and took a plunge into the best way of telling stories -- through visuals. Currently she lives in the city of Bangalore with her husband, Ashwani. She's working on various other comic projects to create stories full of magic. Hailing from the coastal town of Chirala in Andhra Pradesh, India, Rajesh drew inspiration from his grandfather, who was a highly skilled goldsmith. However, his grandfather was also an excellent sculptor, and just like him Rajesh's artistic brilliant talents, too, surfaced soon. Inevitably, Rajesh was advised by many to step into publishing industry as an illustrator, and there has been no looking back. From illustrating e-greetings and award winning children's books to nail art, Rajesh has many feathers in his cap and is a seasoned veteran of illustration. His work features in a number of titles from Campfire, which include The Time Machine, Joan of Arc, Alice in Wonderland and Kim.
