Synopsis

Ghosoun and Her Brother, the Gazelle by Kaltham Al-Ghanem

Ghosoun and her brother live happily with their parents until one day their mother dies and their father brings home a stepmother with more evil on her mind than the two youngsters can imagine. She quickly starts to put her evil plan into action. Will she be able to bewitch both Ghosoun and her brother? Will Ghosoun be able to hold on to her Prince Charming who found her on one of her darkest days?

About the Author

Kaltham Al Ghanem is Professor of sociology and Director of Center for Humanities and Social Sciences at Qatar University. She has worked in several areas of Sociological and Anthropological research in the Arabian Gulf and is the winner of many prizes for her research. She is also currently head of the committee for of the national prize for children's literature and member of the editorial management of Folk Proverbs magazine. This is her second book for children. Ibtihaj Al Harthi is an Omani writer and illustrator. This energetic mother of two divides her time between her family, her Masters of Fine Art program, and creating beautiful books.
