Jane Simmons

Jane has tried various jobs including landscape gardening, futon making, teaching basket weaving and soft toy making. Finally deciding that illustrating was what she wanted to be doing she enrolled as a mature student at Martin Salisbury at Anglia University, Cambridge.

While studying she received the Association of Illustrators Images 20 Student Prize in 1995.

She lives on an ex-fishing boat called named 'Prosperity'. Along with her husband, Neil, Gertie and Bertie the lovebirds, dogs called Daisy and Pip and Doris the cat, she can be found sailing round the Mediterranean and Aegean seas.
