Fed up of being the villain in the same old story – captures princess, fights knight, gets beaten – the dragon decides he’ll be the hero for a change. But none of the other fairytale characters, from the gingerbread man to the three little pigs, will allow him a role in their stories. When he inadvertently ends up at the top of the beanstalk with Jack and the giant however, he finally gets the chance to save the day. Author and illustrator have a great time playing with the conventions of fairytale storytelling which creating a fun new adventure and this will delight readers of all ages.
