I really like the description and story. I'd like more pictures included as sometimes it's hard to imagine the characters. I like the covers of the book. They are cool.

Mossbelly Macfearsom and the Dwarves of Doom is an ation-packed quest. This book is the first in a new series starring ordinary schoolboy Roger and Mossbelly Macfearsome - Dwarf, betrothed to Dwarf Queen Gwri and leader of the royal guard.
This book is great for 9+ readers and Mossbelly's strange speech could be a hit with younger readers too!
Roger gets dragged into a longstanding feud between Mossbelly and his nemesis and competitor Leatherhead Barnstorm. Before he knows it, Roger seems to be dragged all over Scotland to help Mossbelly stop the world as we know it being destroyed by humongous sleeping ogres.
With magic, action and friends throughout this adventure, it is a brilliant little book and a great opener for a series.

This is a book about a dwarf who comes to Earth to save the humans from a wicked fate. Mossbelly MacFearsome and Roger have to stop Leatherhead Barnstorm and his gorefiends from using the shadow sword to awaken and enchant the ogres. It is an exciting fantasy adventure with really interesting characters such as witch-watchers who tell the dwarves what is happening above ground. I really like Maddie who uses Karate to kill gorefiends. My favourite part of the story was when Roger and Mossbelly get chased by the police for nearly killing a school bully. You have to get used to Mossbelly’s language; for example ‘you gob like a mumblecrusted saddle-goose. Natterjack!’ but this makes it fun reading. If they defeat this enemy, there may be a worse fate lurking ahead and if there is (and the human race survive) I can’t wait to read about it!
A funny, magical adventure story with a lot of weirdness in it.
In this book, Roger is saved by Mossbelly MacFearsome (Moss), a dwarf warrier, from Hugh, a bully at his school. Moss convinces Roger to help him in his quest to defeat Leatherhead Barnstorm and prevent the world being destroyed by dragons and ogres. It is a very strange and silly at times. There is quite a lot of gross bits: Frog gobbing contests, cutting off twisted toenails and Leatherhead making gorefiends out of the dead. It is very funny though at times - Moss taking someone's pushchair to use, due to him being injured, giving them gold nuggets in exchange and the puzzled look on the pushchair's owner when Roger explained why this was happening.
I liked this book because it is a magical adventure story. It is a bit like Terry Pratchett's books.
Very entertaining. I think young children will love this book, and the dwarves, the chaos and everything in the book... and really make them happy.
Mossbelly MacFearsome is a great book. It was well thought of and kept you entertained. I would highly recommend this book to 7+. This book is mainly about a boy, (whose name is Roger), going on a quest with a dwarf. This book is an adventure book. The evil guy in this book is seeking revenge.
When I was reading the book, I felt like I was actually in the book and witnessing it. So, I think that the book makes you have a better imagination. The characters have good emotions and with the feeling of that, their emotion can be very funny.

Mossbelly is funny even though he doesn't mean to be, Roger turns out to be an unexpected hero and I really liked Maddie because she's brave and daring and wants to get stuck into fighting for good even though she's only in training. This book is perfect for people who like funny fantasy books. It's silly and exciting at the same time!
An ordinary boy called Roger meets a Dwarf who has a magic hammer and wants to destroy the Doomstone Sword which is in the hands of his sworn enemy Leatherhead Barnstorm. The only problem is that Mossbelly can't destroy the sword himself because as soon as he gets near to it he falls under its spell and is controlled by Leatherhead. So he gets Roger to be the Destroyer and to go on a quest to use the hammer to break the sword and its spell. In their adventures, they meet Lady Goodroom who is a witch watcher helping the dwarves, Maddie her trainee, lots of disgusting gorefiends, as well as an army of dwarves and ogres.
