Zippel The Little Keyhole Ghost

Really funny and a great book to read!

This is a book about a boy called Paul, who finds a little ghost in a keyhole. Paul has to try and find a new home for Zippel the ghost.
It was very, very funny and I just couldn't stop reading and laughing! I loved it when poor Zippel had to sleep in one of Paul's Dad's socks! The ending was brilliant and made me feel really happy and excited.
I think any children who like funny books would like this book. Don't worry the ghost isn't scary! 5/5!

This is a really fun story about a boy and a ghost being friends and sticking together. I loved reading it and really hope there will be a second book to carry on the story.

Zippel: The Little Keyhole Ghost is a story about a boy called Paul, who lives with his mum and dad, and is bullied at school. One day he sticks his key into his door, but he hears an “Ow!” and he finds a little ghost. They soon become friends, but where will Zippel live when Mum and Dad change the broken lock? And who is the strange old lady in the corridor, Mrs Wilhelm?

I think that this story is really funny, and I love Zippel. He’s friendly and kind but also mischievous. My favourite part is when Zippel went to school and did the voice acting to get revenge on the bullies, Tom and Tim. I also liked it when Paul met the mysterious Mrs Wilhelm, who made a big difference to everything.

I was really sad to finish this book and would love the story to continue in a second book!

The book is very funny. My Mum caught me laughing to myself a couple of times.

Paul comes home everyday and once he happened to go upstairs poke a key in the keyhole and heard a voice going 'OW'.

It turned out to be a Ghost living in there. His name was Zippel.

The book is very funny as I wanted to burst out laughing. My Mum caught me laughing to myself a couple of times. I loved the bit where Zippel doesn't have a bed of his own so he sleeps in Paul's Dad's sock.

I also enjoyed the part where they broke into an old lady's house as she had lots of keyholes and they thought they could find Zippel a new home but got told off and went back home. I won't say any more to spoil it.

The pictures from Axel Scheffler are brilliant.

A charming and funny story. A ghost story, but not as you know it.

Zippel the ghost makes a very big impact on Paul's life in this charming tale. Returning home from school one day Paul unknowingly sticks his apartment key into the home of Zippel the Keyhole-ghost's home! Paul is astounded to find out that there is a ghost living in the keyhole of his front door, but the two quickly become friends.

But disaster is on the horizon, the lock is old and sticking (with Zippel to thank for that) so the lock is getting changed, and Paul must find Zippel a new place to live.

Zippel is curious about everything and his little songs interspersed throughout the story are very sweet. Every time Paul comes home from school you're excited to see what Zippel has been getting up to.

The colour illustrations throughout are lovely and very funny. Perfect for younger children to use to follow the story. A heartwarming story of unlikely friendships that is sure to be a hit.
