An amusing tale of what happens when a queen needs chocolate cake NOW!
A charming story about a pair of ant friends Charlie and Sam and their mission to get the queen ant a chocolate cake. Charlie and his best friend Sam are not like the rest of the ants in their colony. They walk differently and think differently and they are the queen's favourite ants. When the queen decides that she absolutely has to have a chocolate cake to eat, she sends Charlie and Sam to bring her one. The story is modern and whimsical and Charlie and Sam are really likeable and amusing in their exploits. The illustrations are lovely and I would happily read this book to children at any time. I think it would be a firm favourite in my class as for storytime and I know that it would be highly requested by them to read for themselves. I'm hoping that there will be more exploits for Charlie and Sam to get involved in soon.
