The Little Red Kite

A perfect little story.

Lovely ! Nice drawings and a simple rhyme to read, and easy for younger children to follow. A perfect little story.

A charming tale of an adventurous little red kite and a new friend he makes when he goes on a flying adventure.

A charming tale of an adventurous little red kite and a new friend he makes when he goes on a flying adventure. When the weather takes a turn for the worst, his new friend comes to his rescue. Lovely illustrations really enhance this story and the simple rhymes would be easy to read to young children. I would have this is my book corner where I’m sure it would be a popular choice.

This would definitely make a nice bedtime story for little ones.

Little Red Kite is cute little book that follows a kite that goes on an adventure and builds a friendship with a Little Blue Bird. It really teaches the little ones about friends and how they are there for each other, in an easy to follow story. The illustrations are also so cute!!! I like how the illustrator has used nice soft colours and they are just right for little one to follow along while the story is read to them. This would definitely make a nice bedtime story for little ones.

A delightful picture book in rhyme for children aged two to seven.

Ellie Brown's 'The Little Red Kite' is a delightful picture book in rhyme for children aged two to seven. The illustrations by Nicholas Child are beautiful, colourful and detailed and complement the text on every page.

The story tells of the red kite, of the paper variety, that goes on an adventure and along the way learns new skills and makes new friends. New vocabulary can be introduced through both the text and the pictures, as the young reader will be able to relate to the scenes the kite flies over, it's joy as it soars in the sky and it's thankfulness for the help it receives from the little blue bird.

This would be a lovely story to share at bedtime but it's uplifting message is suitable for any time...there, it's even got me writing in rhyme! A great addition to any child's bookshelf.
