In all, a great, educational story.
‘The Amazing Bees’ is a nice story that introduces us to Princess Debee and takes readers on an adventure while also education and raising awareness of the importance of bees and the need to do more to protect them. Created as a home learning resource, I think that this book is short enough and written in a way that’s accessible to younger readers, while also providing enough detail and action to still be entertaining to older readers. In all, it is a brilliant story for the family to enjoy and learn from at home.
I liked the play on the bee element with the character’s names, they brought a smile to my face and I’m sure lots of younger readers will enjoy this too. The book also lends itself to a wider discussion about wildlife and the ecosystem. In all, a great, educational story.
