Reviews

The illustrations are a jolly treat. Full of messy pictures of the little girl doing all sorts of dire and wonderful things with her teddies, they epitomise how children play with their best-loved toys. Everyone should have a Nightbear! * Books for Keeps * A delightful and heart-warming story about a very special teddy bear who finds a very special job. * Parents in Touch * The sparkly cover and bright coloured illustrations are charming and will delight all, as readers empathise with the toy's feelings of rejection and realisation of being individually unique. A heart-warming message for everyone. * The School Librarian *

About the Author

Rebecca grew up in Bolton, and first studied Fashion. After graduating, she worked at an assortment of jobs, including being an classroom assistant in a primary school, while sending out manuscripts for picture books. Once her own children had started school, Rebecca began an MA in Children's Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art and had her first picture books commissioned at the end of the course, including THE DEEP END (published by Macmillan) and MY BIG SHOUTING DAY. Rebecca's work is inspired by her own childhood and her children's lives, with stories often starting as games or something made up in the back of a car to amuse a child. She lives in Cambridge.
