Rebecca Cobb - Author

Rebecca Cobb is a rising star in children's picture books. Since graduating from Falmouth College of Arts in 2004, she has illustrated for many clients including Guardian Guide, Guardian Weekend magazine, The Independent and Waitrose Food Illustrated. In 2011 Macmillan published Rebecca's debut solo picture book, the hugely accomplished Missing Mummy which approached the subject of child bereavement with great honesty, sensitivity and integrity. Since then she has won the picture book category of the Waterstone’s Children’s Book Prize and been shortlisted for the CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal for her second solo picture book, Lunchtime. Rebecca has also illustrated The Paper Dolls for then Children’s Laureate, Julia Donaldson. The Paper Dolls inspired a successful world record attempt for the longest chain of paper dolls and is shortlisted for the CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal 2014.

Rebecca is rapidly building a reputation for a trademark stunning illustration style, child-friendly voice and warmth. She lives in Falmouth with her husband.
