Liz Elwes lives in north London with her husband and four children and two long-suffering goldfish. She has lived in 26 houses all together because when she was young her father was in the army and her family moved all the time. She had been to 10 schools by the time she was 13 years old, so she’s had plenty of practice at being the new girl. This meant a lot of letter writing. She then went to a convent boarding school in Cambridge which was a relief after all that moving around, though she’s not sure if the nuns were as happy as she was.
